History of the school

The school was started in 1953 as a intermediate school. In 1969 it was elevated into a mixed secondary school as mixed day secondary school on Harambee basis to cater for the local students who did not qualify to be admitted to government schools. Later, boarding facilities were put up. The school has an enrollment of 480 students with four streams in every class excluding form fours who have just exited. The school is legally registered by the ministry of education and as a legally appointed B.O.M. The school is sponsored by P.C.E.A Church. Up to date, the school has had 12 Principals. The current pricipal is Mr. P. Njoroge who has been in charge from 2018 to date.

Geographical Location

The school is located in Abogeta Division, Igoki Location, Imenti South District in Meru County.
It is situated along Nkubu-Mikumbune-Ndagene Road about 8 kilometres from Nkubu town.
The school stands on a 23 acre arable piece of land. The school has 32 teachers and 15 non-teaching staff.
The administration consist of the B.O.M, The Principal, The Deputy Principal and H.O.Ds. The school is four streamed. There are 21 permanent classrooms. There are 5 permanent dormitory save for the latest dormitory by sponsors from Japan.
Ndagene boasts of a spaceous dining hall, an administration block, several modern sanitation facilities,seven permanent teachers' houses, one playground, one modern library and three laboratories. The school has one 51-seater bus. Importantly, the school also enjoys a fast internet from ICT Kenya.
