The major role of the BOM in our school is to promote quality education, develop institutional policies, provide adequate infrastructure and monitor curriculum development.
Our BOM led by Mr. Kairu Magambo is also involved in decision making, financial matters, monitoring education standards and recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff (MOEST, 2005).
According to the Taskforce on student indiscipline and unrest (ROK, 2001), the appointment of BOM members who were unqualified and incompetent impacted negatively on the quality of management of schools.
Boards assist schools with the acquisition of physical resources and promoted discipline; all these lead to the achievement of quality education (Kindiki, 2009).
In general, our BOM contributes to educational development in our school. Our Board of management is in place purely on merit for effective quality management skills. The secretary of the school B.O.M is our Principal Mr. P Njoroge.
